Im changing the overall topic of my website from computer programming and webdesign and art to guitar, bass, and drum tabulatures and im considering using this as a logo. Please tell me what you think.

Nice, clean logo. It's a bit obvious (a guitar for a guitar site), but I really like the style of art, the color, and the layout of the text.
